The Clerks provide impartial, professional support and advice on procedure to Executive and non-Executive Departments and produce the official record of meetings; advise departments on recording ministerial decisions, ensuring that States procedures are followed; research and prepare reports as required, and edit the Official Report (‘Hansard’) of States’ meetings. The successful candidate is will be a graduate, with excellent communication skills. This is a very interesting post, and candidates will need to be motivated and confident to provide the necessary service and to work closely with senior officers and States’ members.
