Applicants need to be over 18 years of age and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is necessary. Additional languages are welcomed.
The role would involve making unannounced visits to States of Jersey Police custody areas, during the day and night, to check the conditions and treatment of detainees. It is envisaged that the commitment will be in the region of 1-2 visits per month.
