You will be required to have a police check. Portability an advantage. We work shifts to cater for children aged 2-5 years and it is essential that applicants have experience in working within a nursery environment. To cover staff meetings, staff absenteeism and children’s swimming and outings activities. You will be promoting a stimulating nursery environment, empowering and valuing children as individuals whilst recognising their individual needs. You will encourage children in their individual and collective development. You will be expected to work in a professional, efficient and caring manner at all times whilst maintaining confidentiality.
A minimum Child Care Qualification of Introduction to Childcare or Working with Children in Jersey, and/or NVQ Level 2/3 is desirable. Also a current First Aid, Child Protection and Infection Control training is preferred but not essential.
