Under new management, we are recruiting 2 Commis Chefs to complete our new kitchen team. Applicants must have a proven track record in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all the tasks as required by the Head Chef
- Preparing the ingredients for the Head Chef
- Food preparation and basic cooking under supervision of the Head and Second Chef
- Rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery
- measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene
- An ability to stay calm when the pressure mounts
- Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
Hours: 42 over 6 days on a shift basis
Live in accommodation available if required.
